On Stoa’s popular Luonnos! courses, we head into the forest, awaken our senses and explore nature through art and environmental education.

The local forest serves as a learning environment and a starting point for artistic work. The aim is to strengthen pupils’ connection with nature and environmental citizenship, and to provide teachers with tools for discussing environmental topics.

The course is about making ephemeral art and learning different methods of art making – with ecological aspects in mind as well. The five-session course will take place mainly in an outdoor classroom. The course will involve exploring the diversity of nature and our relationship with it, one longer nature excursion and, finally, the opening of a forest-themed exhibition. So, grab your magnifying glasses and art supplies and head to the woods!

The themes and visit destinations of the courses vary from season to season.

The teaching location will be the Meri-Rastila forest on Tuesdays and the Karhukallio forest in Roihupelto on Thursdays. The experiential excursion of the course will have the participants explore Mustavuori.
